Jack Bartel (He/Him/His) is a licensed clinical psychologist (FL, VA, MI) and health educator/consultant. As a queer transgender individual he understands the importance of increased education and awareness surrounding the LGBTQ+ community, but most importantly action needed towards change for LGBTQ+ individuals in all spaces. Jack strives to bring you comprehensive options and solutions for learning more about how to best serve the LGBTQ+ community, as well as, when creating or maintaining an inclusive LGBTQ+ atmosphere. Whether you are a healthcare organization, business/corporation, provider, or individual, he aims to ensure you have options that meet your needs.
Jack completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology. He completed an APA accredited internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida and his post-doctoral fellowship in medical psychology at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
Jack has now provided over 20+ didactics, trainings, webinars, and courses. He has been described as having "sharp quick wit" and those who have attended his lectures enjoy his conversational tone, ability to make information easily understandable, as well as, sharing of his personal experiences.
In his clinical work he enjoys working with primary care doctors to help patients with habit and lifestyle change focused on smoking cessation, weight management, insomnia, and chronic pain. He also enjoys helping patients who are having trouble coping or adjusting to medical conditions. He has worked in many different settings treating general mental illness including anxiety, depression, stress management, and adjustment. Finally, he specializes in LGBTQA+ and transgender/non-binary healthcare providing letters of support and an affirmative treatment atmosphere.
